Vince Carter joins NBC as a studio analyst for the 2025-26 NBA season

The Basketball Hall of Famer Vince Carter will take part in NBC Sports as a studio analyst if the NBA debuts Peacock for the 2025-26 season in October.

On Tuesday, the network announced that the eight-time all-star will be in the studio at least once a week during the playoffs and will often work together with Carmelo Anthony.

“I couldn't be more excited and grateful to have the opportunity to be part of the historical return of the NBA to NBC and now Pfau,” said Carter. “I am very much looking forward to connecting Melo in the studio and in the rest of the Broadcast team as a whole, as we get involved with the best reporting about NBA fans about the league that you love.”

NBCuniversal won the rights to the NBA as part of a new 11-year contract in July 2025. Since the announcement, NBC has stopped a stare-occupied line-up for its NBA reporting.

Apart from Carter and Anthony, Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller were discontinued as game analysts. Mike Trico and Noah Eagle will be play-by-play votes. Michael Jordan's commitment as a special employee was also announced on Monday.

“Vinsanity” played 22 seasons in the NBA, with a large part of his career being spent with the Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets. Later in his career, Carter had a short time with the Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks before retiring in 2020.

In addition to his all-star appearances, Carter had two all-NBA selections, was the NBA rookie of the year and shone in the Slam Dunk competition 2000. His athletics also exceeded the all-star celebrations because he is known as the best Dunker in NBA history. It is also located in the list of 3-point 3 points with 2,290.
