NC weather forecast for Raleigh, Durham and Fayetteville, North Carolina

Raleigh, NC (WTVD) – First alarm today & Wednesday: A few thunderstorms are possible tonight and could contain harmful winds. In addition, an isolated, weak tornado will be possible until tonight. On Wednesday there is another chance of a strong storm with harmful winds.

The national weather service confirmed late Tuesday that an EF-1 tornado met on Monday evening between 5:06 p.m. and 5.12 p.m. in the areas of Tarboro and Princeville. The second, also an EF1, landed on Tuesday morning around 3:27 a.m. and 3:29 in the southern Macclesfield area near Pinetops.

Expect another round of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday, mainly in the afternoon, how the atmosphere recovers. The highs remain approximately the same by the mid to the 70s, with each thunderstorm being able to damage harmful wind gusts and floods.

The conditions will improve on Thursday, as the low point finally moves over the southeast in the northeastern US high pressure. The highs will be on Thursday in the mid -1980s and until the low 90s on Friday.

While the dry weather is generally expected, the humidity will not disappear so soon. Spotted showers and storms will be possible on Friday and a gusty, strong storm is possible.

A cold front will try to bring an economical chance of a thunderstorm through this weekend, but otherwise dry and warm weather remains. Heights in the 80s in the middle to Upper probably look at the beginning of next week, about 5 degrees above the historical average. This front will help to make air humidity easier in the next week and make things more comfortable. A good piece of sun should also hold on with high pressure.

I wish you a nice night!
