Murder arrest after man's death in the tent

Two men were arrested for murder suspicions after a man died in a tent near a parking space.

The Dorset police said that the man at the age of 30 was on land near Mount Pleasant Park and Ride -ride location on the Mercery Road, Weymouth, shortly after 07:30 BST, but was later declared dead.

The armed forces said that the officials were working to determine the full circumstances in connection with his death, which is currently being treated as unclear.

The arrested men, one in the thirties and the second in the forties, both without a permanent residence, remain in police custody.

The force said it was understood that the men were known to each other.

Det Ch Inspe George Graham from Dorset County Cid said: “Our thoughts are very much with the members of the man, who unfortunately died, and his family is kept up to date with the developments in our investigation to determine the complete circumstances in connection with his death.”

The force said it was excited to hear from everyone who experienced suspicious activities in the area between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
