Hoerner, Turner deliver run-scoring hits in the 9th Inning to gather cubs by Marlins 5-4

Chicago (AP) -Nico Hoerner had an RBI single and Justin Turner followed with a two-run double in the ninth in ninth when the Chicago Cubs defeated the Miami Marlins 5: 4 on Tuesday evening.

In the second, Kyle Stowers scored a solo Homer and Connor Norby in seventh place for the Marlins deep. Javier Sanoja knocked out with a floor and Jesus Sanchez added an RBI single for Miami, which led a 4-2 lead into the bottom of ninth place.

Chicago's comeback started when Hoerner hit a line drive to the center that reduced the deficit on a run. Pinch-Hitter Turner doubled two parking spaces later in the left Felecke and achieved Vidal Bruján and Hoerner.

Pete Crow-Armstrong and Carson Kelly each had two goals for Chicago. Crow-Armstrong scored his 11th Homer in the third inning.

Chris Flexen (1-0) allowed a goal in the last two innings and achieved his first victory.

Miamis Jesus Tinoco (2-1) blown the opportunity for the save and two goals, three runs two deserved and a walk, while he only took one in the ninth.
