Maryville teen injured when crashed west of the pumpkin center

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an unit at Highway A in Nodaway County injured a young passenger on Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred on May 13th at 10 a.m., about three miles west of the pumpkin center. A Ford Focus from 2001, which drove east on Highway A, left the south side of the street, hit an embankment, returned to the street and was highly centered, which partially blocked the trail to the east.

The 16-year-old male driver from Graham, Missouri, wore a safety device and was not reported as injured. A 14-year-old passenger from Maryville, Missouri, suffered minor injuries and rejected medical treatment on site. Both people used safety devices at the time of the crash.

The vehicle suffered extensive damage and was towed by Shells. The Sheriff department of the Nodaway County supported at the scene.
