Timberwolves give final injuries against Lakers before game 5

The Timberwolves went home to Minnesota and ended their mission. They swept both games 3 and 4 from the Lakers and put LA back against the wall with a 3-1 deficit in their opening series in the Western Conference playoffs. It is a big swing for a Lakers team that was the No. 3 seed, and many expected to be a legitimate championship candidate.

But it is also a confirmation for a Minnesota team that, although it was the No. 6 seed, only one game (they had 49 wins) behind the Lakers (who had 50) and currently achieved 20 wins in the last 25 games.

Coach Chris Finch said that one of the advantages that the wolves had in the series was the mere fact that they were overlooked all the time.

“We knew what everyone said and our team is always the best when they play on their shoulder with a chip,” said Finch. “And so we only had to make this chip on our shoulder.”

When things retire to Los Angeles, where the wolves end the series in game 5 on Wednesday, one thing that the Timberwolves will have for them is the injury report. On Tuesday, the team submitted their last injury report with the league in front of the gameday and is quite clean.

The only player is Rookie Rob Dillingham, who was in the team's rotation this season, but has not played since April 11th. It is doubtful that Minnesota will miss him very much against the Lakers.

Game 5 is played in the Crypto.com Arena in LA with a tipoff at 10 et.
