Three people are injured after a crash in Ellsworth Township on Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 45 and the Palmyra Road and included a pickup and a van. The van seems to have hit an utility pole and was seen in a ditch on site.

Ted Smith, fire chief of Ellsworth Township, tells 21 news that the crash included an adult and two young people. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and one should be in a critical condition.

It is unclear whether one of the young people drove the car or whether one of the young people is in a critical condition.

Firefighters from Ellsworth Township as well as Canfield and Berlin Township reacted to the scene.

The cause of the crash is examined.
