The three and sixty -year -old Debra S. “Sister” Albritton, a hospice nurse that was generally known and respected in and around At.
Albritton lost her life in a car accident with a vehicle that took place on May 5th on Booneville Road, about 16 miles north of Bea.
“I graduated,” said Donna Fitzpatrick in a posting on the Facebook page of Atmore News. “Years later she was my father's hospice nurse and was a blessing for all of us.”
Mary Emma Brantley shared similar feelings.
“Debbie was such a sweet and caring person,” typed Brantley. “She was my mother's hospice nurse. She always showed great sympathy and friendliness. She will really be missing.”
According to reports submitted by Alabama State Troopers, the fatal accident occurred around 3:25 p.m. when the Toyota Camry, driven by the former nurse, left the street in 2007 and hit a tree.
At the time of the crash, Albritton did not use a seat belt near Booneville Road's intersection with Long Hollow Road and was declared dead at the crime scene, said Troopers.
The survivors include husband Steve Albritton and the son Ryan Albritton, both from Booneville, the son Kyle Albritton from Spanish and daughter Jessica Albritton from McCullough.
