'Fake': PIB pays false claims of the document of the Indian army on social media

The Press Information Bureau of the Indian government (PIB) has confirmed that claims that are distributed on pro-Pakistani social media accounts are completely wrong about the willingness of the Indian army.

The PIB -Fakt check showed these documents as “#fake” and advised the public, “please avoid sharing uniform information and only rely on official sources of the Indian government to get precise information.”

This development takes place in the middle of increased security measures after the latest terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmirs Pahalgam. On April 22nd, 5-6 terrorists shot 26 people on Baisaran Meadow in Pahalgam, mainly tourists.

In response to the attack, the cabinet committee for security (CCS), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, formulated robust retaliation. The CCS has instructed the security forces to maintain “high vigil” and is determined to put the perpetrators in court.

These measures are part of the strategic approach in Neu -Delhi to ensure national security and to combat misinformation that could undermine public trust or national morality.

The PIB was proactive to counteract the spread of these misleading claims and to publish warnings on X, a popular social media platform. The efforts of the office underline the importance of reviewing information about official channels instead of falling on deceptive online counts that can lead to unnecessary alarm and confusion within the community.

The Ministry of Defense has also given an explanation that exposed the wrong messages and asked the citizens to “remain careful and not to optimize such fraudulent messages”. This caution is critical, since misinformation, especially in connection with national security, can have significant effects if they are not quickly addressed and corrected by credible sources.
