Cozzis DNA was also found in the trunk of the crown.

The deputy public prosecutor of Pinellas, Nathan Vonderheide, said he planned to call 56 state witnesses in six weeks of court proceedings. A new test date is not planned.

Kosowski said on Wednesday that he met two lawyers last week, but did not want to hire any of them.

Vonderheide said Kosowski registered for 229 hours for prison computers.

“Dr. Kososwki is a very clever man. He has an MBA and a medical conclusion from Dartmouth. His letter reflects that. It is very articulated. It is better than some lawyers I have led,” said Vonderheide. “I think the next phase of the investigation is whether it is ready to represent the process.”

“We have been ready to try this case since April 2023,” he added.

Kosowski has represented two listening of the status, but said that he does not intend to do so when his process begins.

“The deposits are not complete … and I am not sure whether forensic tests are complete. In this case, many things are not done – no matter what Mr. Vonderheide tells you,” said Kosowski.

Bulone pushed back.

“There are many more things that have been done than things that didn't do it,” he said. “The main reason why we are not ready is that you don't have a lawyer, but you will get one soon because you have no choice.”
