Al-Din had accommodated the lion in a cage alongside other wild creatures on his property, hoping to domesticate him. But the situation became fatal when the man was eaten by the lion.

A source said to Al-Ghad: “The predator fell Al-Din as he approached the housing and bites him in the neck and chest.”

The man's screams alerted a neighbor who hurried to help with a Kalashnikov rifle. Despite the wildness of the lion, the neighbor succeeded in firing them after seven shots, Shafaq News Agency confirmed.

“The film material divided on social media shows the lively body of the lion, which lies in a blood pool in the grass, with cages being visible in the background of the garden,” added the report.

Shortly thereafter, the emergency services and transported al-DIN met the Al-Sadr Medical City Hospital in Najaf. In the meantime, the police have initiated an investigation of the attack.

In conversation with the Rudaw News Network, the authorities revealed: “The lion was reflected by the authorities because he refused to leave the remains of his owner.

Videos of the gruesome episodes have now flooded social media. Pictures show “the lion that lies in a blood pool on the grass”, surrounded by cages in al-dins garden.
