Star Wars fans who are stunned by the death of Andor character (but we should all have seen it)

Warning: there is Andor Spoiler ahead! Andor is officially over and this last row of episodes had a lot of heartache and surprises for the grand finale. Episode 10, “make it stop”, finally gave us more background about Stellan Skarsgård's character Luthen Rael, which was better known to the empire as a rebel leader Axis. We saw Luthen's death, who was bitterly sweet when he went out on his own conditions and held back the intelligence from the empire to the end. Of course, many fans predicted that Luthen would die at the end of this series, and even those who did not have to admit that it should be obvious afterwards. This has not prevented fans from publishing tributes on Luten on social media.

The first of the three episodes of this week was mainly dedicated to Luthen Rael and his protogue Kleya Marki. When Luthen's cover is finally blown by Dedra Marero, he tries to commit suicide instead of being captured and interrogated by the empire, but Dedra keeps him alive and takes him to an imperial hospital. Kleya breaks into the facility and puts Luthen's life preservation and lets him die instead of putting torture.

The fans on social media called Luthen to the “unsung heroes of the rebellion” after seeing this episode. Many Reddit contributions celebrated the character and marveled at the way his story was written with the existing one after the other star Wars Tradition without disturbing facts specified in advance. Unfortunately, it makes perfect sense that a character like Luten would not be able to be able to do the larger rebel alliance. In all likelihood, he would have wanted it himself.

“Luthen Rael, you burned your decency for the future of another, you died because of a sunrise that you have never seen before, but despite everything that the dawn came,” wrote U/Mando177 about Reddit. “The hopes and dreams of millions without fascism will be the legacy of their victim and struggle. Fame the martyrs.”

“Involuble one of the best written characters in the history of Star Wars,” added one commentator while another wrote: “You could argue that the show was as much about him as Cassian.” In the meantime, the fans speculated on the far-reaching effects of Luthen's actions in later films and stories, from the establishment of rebel alliance networks and infrastructure to philosophy behind the future actions of the group. A Reddit user wrote: “He had friends everywhere So you can imagine that the rebellion would bring these friends to it when it was in full swing. “

While the fans were happy to sing Luthen's praise, it was difficult for some to process his death and subsequently recognize how inevitable it was. They admitted that afterwards it was unlikely that a character like this would survive the run from Andor. If he was in films and life Rogue one or A new hopeHe would not be satisfied with living in the background or retiring.

Andor Stream now on Disney+together with Rogue One: A Star Wars story And the rest of the franchise. The series has now been completed, without plans for another season.
