Man sentenced to 15 years for Dui crash

Gaineville, Fla. (WCJB) – According to the court in Alachua County, a man who was convicted of driving and ended a woman in an accident in which she was killed in 2021 was 7.5 years in prison and 7.5 years of probation on Tuesday.

The 40 -year -old Jason Saul was sentenced to a maximum of 15 years in prison in January 2021, who led to Andra Paul Dürgers's death.

The officials said it was on the US Highway 441 south of Northwest 43rd Street in Alachua County on January 22, 2021.

They said that Saul ended a pickup with a pickup that was stopped in a red light, which led to the premature death of Driggers.

Witnesses said they had observed how Saul left the driver's seat of the car after the crash.

They also found that Saul had driven between 63 miles per hour and 74 miles per hour in a speed limit zone of 50 miles per hour, shortly before the victim was hit.

On Tuesday, judge William E. Davis Saul sentenced to 90 months in prison, followed by 90 months of probation after Saul accepted a plea agreement in March 2025.

He received 299 days in prison for the time already served and has to complete a drug abuse course as well as 100 hours of community service as well as random drug and alcohol examinations.

According to Florida's law, his driver's license is permanently revoked.
