Relatives: Mobile Police Department of Reports reduced crime in the annual report (2024)

“I think the district of the district, you will see that it is in total in all districts,” said MPD boss William Jackson. “There are some districts that see a higher level of certain types of calls than others, but in general, as a city we are below.”

Violent crime was reduced by more than 11% overall when it had compared in 2023 to 2024. The city of mobile radio has reduced a reduction in the category by 20% since 2022. In the past ten years alone, violent crime in the city has been reduced by more than 56%.

Crimes in which someone shot into a vehicle or an apartment took 42%. The rapes were reduced by over 28%, robberies have decreased by 15%and severe attacks of almost 10%.

“They talk about their murders, their rapes, their robberies, they have annoying attacks,” the boss told NBC 15.

However, one area has not improved.

“Domestic violence in all categories. Whether you talk about domestic violence in murders, robberies, attacks or about the traditional struggle between the parties, the crime really drives up.”

Jackson was proud of the management of the department for her role in the statistical improvements.

“The men and women, every day, the commanders of the districts, take it personally. I could not be proud of them because this is their city too,” he said. “You don't just come to work here; this is also your city and you want to make it the safest city.”
