How Jayson Tatum reacted to Achilles injuries

Everything changed for Jayson Tatum and the Celtics in the blinking eye on Monday evening in Madison Square Garden.

Tatum, already with 42 points at night, wanted to keep his brilliant performance against the Knicks in the last minutes of game 4. However, a faulty passport for Jaylen Brown led to a much more serious result than just a turnover of Crunch-Time, since Tatum went down with a non-contact injury and needed a wheelchair to navigate through the tunnel.

In a column published on Tuesday evening, Adam Himmelsbach from Boston Globe gave a look behind the scenes to Tatum, his colleagues and colleagues found for the first time that the injury was very serious.

“According to a team source, it should be in a shock,” wrote Himmeslbach. “An emotional scene played out nearby. The teams of the teams wiped tears when they hugged Tatum's mother Brandy. The mood in the changing room was bleak.”

Tatum and the Celtics decided to act quickly when the 27-year-old was operated on on Tuesday to repair his broken Achilles. The complicated procedure was successful, which certainly served as a source of optimism for the franchise at a time when the positivity was scarce.

Boston, which was probably bound for a very active low season, even if Tatum remained healthy, this summer could be about to sell border. It will certainly make movements with its franchise pillar, but time will show when Tatum can return to the plot.
