In an interview with the financial review, Sayers and Kumar said that the company's new identity was to re -position the company and strengthen its long -term focus.

The married father of four children was “outraged” by the alleged attack and said Daily Mail Australia that he is now investigating what happened.

When Sayers announced his resignation from the AFL club: “The leadership of the Carlton Football Club was one of the great honors and privileges of my life,” he said.

“I leave that the club is in great form and with my deepest gratitude for his understanding and support.

“I deeply regret that other people, including my family, friends, colleagues and football club, have been involved in this matter.”
