Jennifer Lopez recovers from injuries during the AMAS sample

When she prepared to organize and perform the American Music Awards in 2025, Jennifer Lopez revealed that she had suffered a facial injury during the rehearsals.

“So that happened,” the star wrote in her Instagram stories together with a photo of her that her eye was on the eye before clarifying: “During the Amas samples.” Lopez then shared a photo of her face without the ice cream bag unveiling a cut on the nose bridge and an apparent black eye.

She then shared a picture of herself in which she posed with the doctor who helped treat her injuries, which had taken place a week earlier: “A week later and an entire Lotta ice cream I am well as new.”

On Monday, May 26th, Lopez will organize the award ceremony for the second time, a role that she took over for the first time in 2015. In the meantime, Lopez has played more than ten times on the AMAS stage. Lopez is a three-time AMA winner and was recognized as the only artist who has an album No. 1 and No. 1 film at the same time.

Lopez '2025 Amas Performance will be presented as one that “will present her unprecedented art and her characteristic mix of music, dance and visual spectacle”.

During a performance on The Ellen Show In 2009, Lopez reflected an “injured bone” during her performance in 2009.

“One of the backs of the dancer was of sweat and lights and all slippery,” she said at the time. “And when I stepped on my back, my feet got wet. When I landed, it just slipped below me.”

This year's fan voting award show will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th, and on Paramount+ in the American top-nominated streams Kendrick Lamar, Post Malish, Chappell Roan and ShabooZey.
