The recruitment class of Penn State 2026 is invited and James Franklin does not cool down. The Nittany Lions have just landed their 17th commitment in the country's fourth class, but the group still lacks this five-star headliner. Franklin and offensive -Line trainer Phil Trautwein hope that the player is Immanuel Iheanacho, but the recruitment industry holds differently.

On Tuesday, shortly after Iheanacho canceled his official visit with Maryland, Steve Wiltfong logged a prediction for the five-star balm, which was born on land with another big rivals des State, the Oregon Ducks.

Also on Tuesday, Jackson Cantwell committed himself in Miami (FL) on Tuesday. According to the 247Sports Composite ranking, iheanacho with number 1 of the recruits and the top -offensive -Line -lineman becomes a top -not remaining player in the country.

In contrast to Cantwell, who entered the summer and the official visit season for Hurricanes, Iheanacho planned his commitment to August 5, after visiting visits to Texas A & M, LSU, Auburn, Penn State and Oregon in the course of May and June. He plans to drive north to Happy Valley as the penultimate official visit to Happy on June 13 before going to Eugene the next weekend.

With No. 4 class in the country, Penn State is among the Big Ten programs, whereby the USC is running the way, and in the state of Ohio in No. 3. The ducks are currently 16.

With the support of Phil Knights, Lanning has been elite recruiters since his arrival in Eugene in 2022. In the last two cycles, he has landed a top five high school class and is expected to find his way into the top 10 of the national ranking in the last signature times in December. The recruitment boost will come for the ducks at some point, Franklin only has to make sure that this does not get at its expense.

Maryland has long been a fertile recruitment site for Penn State, but the 2026 class is a real bumper. The five-star rander Zion Elee and Iheanacho are both top 10 national recruits, but since ELEE is committed to the terps, and iheanacho, who lean towards Oregon, the Nittany lions are at risk of getting empty.
