Pirates claim that rival supply players reveal 2 injury updates in Roster Shuffle

The Pittsburgh Pirates offensive was one of the worst all-round units in MLB, which was recently dead in runs. Although it is not an excuse to justify the way the roster was built, there were so many injuries that have an impact on which the team is capable of.

Enmanuel Valdez recently injured his shoulder and has now put on the 60-day injury list. The team also claimed Michael Helman from the Cardinals to take his place on the 40-man squad.

Helman made his big debut with the twins in 2024 and went on the plate with two doubles 3 against 10. His promotion followed a solid season in Triple-A, where St. Louis 2025 began. Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, his production was not exactly so great to start this season.

With Memphis, Helman beat with a Homerun and five RBI .185 (12-for-65). His 50 WRC+ was almost terrible and his strike rate of 21.9% did not help.

It is probably selected first on Indianapolis because the Indians Malcom Nunez lost to the injured list on May 11th. In addition, Spencer Horwitz will probably join the pirates soon. When Helman puts into the big leagues in the big leagues, it is not exactly the feeling.

Valdez was put on the injured list on May 8 with shoulder inflammation, but now after a second opinion he goes into the 60-day value. This is obviously bad news for the infielder who had an ops of 0.657 with an 83 WRC+.

Pirates News: Endy Rodriguez begins with the rehab task with Indianapolis

Endy Rodriguez had not been with the pirates since an injury on his finger. That was a little more than a month ago and he will now go to Indianapolis to start his rehab order. Rodriguez fought on the plate before his injury and started a 44 WRC+ with an ops of 0.504.

When Rodriguez returns, he will probably replace Henry Davis on the big league. Davis didn't get a regular playing time, but when he has it, his offensive was worse than Rodriguez. He got his chance when Joey Bart had to do with some back problems, but with Rodriguez Davis will probably return to Triple-A.

Now that the pirates start to become healthier, they will have fewer excuses to turn things around. There are 15 games under 500, but some of these bats in Rodriguez, Horwitz and even Nick Gonzales, who also takes closer, could help to lift at least the quality of the game.
