Family Pulaski Co. Family is looking for the truth after the Missouri State Highway Patrol's death was reopened

Cocker, Mo (Ky3) – Missouri State Highway Patrol opens an investigation into the death of Jeffrey Pratt 2022. Pratt's death was ruled as an overdose, but his family does not buy it.

“My family and I deserve to know what happened to him,” said Pratt's father Jeff Pratt.

Jeff Pratt's son Jeffrey died in Crocker, Missouri in 2022. A few years ago, his death was ruled as an overdose by the forensic doctor of the Pulaski district, but his father said there were evidence that indicates murder points.

“I think his (Jeffreys) blood education was asked to be taken, and when they went back the following day to collect his bloodwork, they were told that it was lost,” said Jeff Pratt.

Pratt said he wanted to know how his son's cause of death could be determined without blood samples. We contacted the forensic doctor of Pulaski County, who was not available for an interview on Wednesday.

Jeffrey's father even has a binding agent full of evidence that needs examinations.

“It's so thick and highly organized,” said Jeff Pratt.

Ky3 also spoke to private investigator Steven Ridge. Ridge said he looked through the binder himself and agrees that the case must be reopened.

“I quickly realized that there were really some serious information, many questions, maybe some missing evidence and misguided objects. It opened the odor test openly. It was how it was not correct,” said Ridge.

Jeffrey's father now only wants to answer that he hopes that the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) will provide in the upcoming investigations.

“I was told that they were originally examining it as a possible murder and they didn't do it. They did not carry out any investigation at all. I just want to know the truth,” said Pratt.
