Pope Francis said young people that they should “listen to their grandparents – they teach us so much.”

“Dear boys and girls, one of the most important things in life is to listen – to learn how to listen,” he said. “When someone talks to you, wait until they are done so that they can really understand, and if they feel like it, they answer. But the most important thing is to listen.”

He also said that people are often so busy to formulate their own answer that they cannot listen to the other person who speaks.

“Take a close look at people – people don't listen,” he said. “Half of an explanation you will answer and that doesn't help. Listen to – listen a lot.”

Vatican news Also reported that the Vatican observed the second day of Novemial on April 27, the nine mourning days for the deceased Pope, who began with his funeral, which coincided with divine mercy on Sunday.

The Sunday mass at St. Peter's Square was offered for the peace of the Pope's soul. In his sermon on the 200,000 gathered people, Cardinal Pietro Parolen encouraged the youth to accept the late Pope's teachings about mercy.
