Sahith Theegala will no longer compete at this year's PGA championship at Quail Hollow.

The PGA Tour Communications team Posted that he has withdrawn With a neck injury. Alex Smalley will replace him.

This injury is the same that forced him to withdraw at the Truist Championship in Philadelphia last week on Sunday.

Theegala opened with a 69 and 71 in the Philadelphia Cricket Club before leaving the ranking on Saturday with an 8-over 78-year-old. It was not a good day for the no. 31 player in the world when he opened with a birdie and recorded four Bogeys, a double and a triple bogey before finally deciding.

For Theegala it was an opening and expiry season.

The 27-year-old missed only one cut in 14 starts this year. However, it only has two top -25 interfaces.

Theegala also recorded a T29 at the Masters and marked its third best tournament of the year.
