Woman “fake” crimes to get a visa, say officials

The police in Bloomington, Minnesota, said two people organized a violent robbery to change their immigration status.

A violent attack on the bright daylight at a petrol station in Bloomington caught video. In March the woman showed us her injuries in this video and said she and her daughter lived in fear.

“A woman had said that a man pulled her out of her car, put a gun with her 5-year-old child in the car in his stomach and took her handbag and ran,” said Chief Booker T. Hodges.

The suspect left this sweater behind. The DNA results led the police to a suspect at the beginning of this month.

When the police caught up with the suspect, they learned about a breathtaking development.

“When we got his phone, we found that in this case he had communicated with the alleged victim in his phone,” said Hodges.

According to Hodges, both have admitted to carry out the attack to submit a U -Non -immigrant visa or “U -visa”.

Immigration lawyer Nadia Roife says that a U -Visum and documented people enables people to remain a way to citizenship in the United States if they are victims of crime.

“One of the other reasons why people want it is that they do not see a decision in their actual application for about eight to nine.

The FBI says that there is an increase in the alleged victims who pay for being robbed. They arrested half a dozen people because they carried out a similar system in Chicago last year.

But Hodges does not want this incident to prevent people from reporting real crimes.

“We in the law enforcement authorities still consider the U -Visum as a valuable instrument because we people in the community who are without papers want. If you are the victim of a crime or if you experience a crime, we want you to still feel comfortable if you work with the law enforcement authorities,” said Hodges.

The alleged attacker was handed over to the federal authorities. Not a word about what will happen to the “wrong” victim and her daughter.
