Person who was killed in shooting near Fisherman Wharf in San Francisco

San Francisco – One person was killed in San Francisco on Wednesday afternoon near Fisherman Wharf in San Francisco.

A suspect was in custody, the San Francisco police said in a press release.

The shootout was reported around 1:10 p.m. near Columbus Avenue and the North Point Street. The police said the suspect shot the victim into her car and left the area.

The officials found the victim's car near the streets of Leavenworth and Beach. The victim was sitting in the driver's seat and suffering from gunshot wounds, the police said.

The victim received a medical aid for emergencies, but was declared dead at the crime scene.

During the examination of the shootout, the officials found out that the suspect had submitted himself at the Central Police Station, the police said. Neither the suspect nor the victim were identified on Wednesday.

“This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public,” said the police in the press release.
