Texas family killed in the frontal accident at 5 years

A family of five was killed and one person was critically injured in Houston on Saturday, May 10, in a frontal accident on Interstate 45.

Hermenegildo Cerda, 55, drove with his wife Veronica Cerda (53) and her daughters Veronica Denise Cerda, 26; Rebecca Cerda, 20; and Daniela Cerda, 18, as passengers.

According to the fire brigade's press release, her truck collided with a 2016 Dodge Pickup and killed all five passengers.

The dodge was driven by the Torian Mass, 43, which survived the crash but suffered serious injuries and was brought to St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan, Texas.

Firefighters reacted to the scene at 3:17 p.m. local time and reported a large vehicle accident near Leona, Texas, the Centerville volunteer fire brigade announced in its release. The Dodge Pickup drove south on the I-45 when it went off the street and hit a guardrail to the right. On Monday, May 12th, a family member created a Gofundme page to collect money for the family funeral costs.

“Her life was heartbreaking in a devastating car accident, in which the whole family was claimed,” was the description.

“They were a close -meshed and loving family that is known for their warmth, friendliness and deep love for each other. Their sudden death left a deep emptiness in the hearts of everyone who knew, and their absence will be felt forever.”

Representatives of the Texas Highway Patrol and the Sheriff's Office of Leon County did not react immediately to the request of the people on Wednesday to receive further information.
