Khan Younis, Gaza Strip (AP) – A hospital in southern Gaza says that 54 people were killed in overnight stays in the city of Khan Younis.

An associated press Cameraman in Khan Younis counted 10 air raids in the city overnight until Thursday and saw numerous corpses that were brought to the corpse in the city's Nasser Hospital. Some bodies arrived in pieces, with some corpse bags containing the remains of several people. The hospital's corpse hall confirmed that 54 people had been killed.

It was the second night of the heavy bomb attack after at least 70 people were killed on Wednesday on Wednesday on Wednesday in the north and southern Gazast, including almost two dozen children.

The strikes come when US President Donald Trump visited the Middle East and not visits Gulf States. There was widespread hope that Trump's regional visit could initiate a ceasefire or a renewal of humanitarian aid in Gaza Strip. An Israeli blockade of the territory is now in the third month.
