The Supreme Court sells petitions against Audio Leaks Commission

The Supreme Court dismissed petitions on Wednesday that questioned the formation of the alleged Audioleck commission and declared the matter for absolutely declaring, reported 24Newshd TV channel.

A constitutional bank with five judges led by Justice Aminud Din Khan heard the case. The bank comprised judge Muhammad Ali Mazhar and three other judges. During the procedure, the senior lawyer Hamid Khan appeared on behalf of the PTI founder.

Justice Aminud Din Khan noticed that the Audio Leaks Commission has become inactive and made the case ineffective. Judge Muhammad Ali Mazhar noted that the head of the Commission, judge Qazi Faez Isa, has now retired, while the other two commission members now act as judges of the Supreme Court.

Hamid Khan argued that it was at the Attorney General to clarify whether the government had intended to form a new commission for the audio corner. However, the additional Attorney General Aamir Rehman informed the court that the Attorney General was currently engaged to another bank.

Judge Mazhar further explained that the current case is considered ineffective even if the federal government would form a new commission.

As a result, the Supreme Court dismissed the petitions that questioned the formation of the Audio Leaks Commission due to the no longer applicable reasons.
