Crime rate in Texas are still very low Newsradio 740 KTRH

While the crime rates here in Houston continue to rise, the data published by the Texas DPS remain, but the crime rate remain very, very low. So what is a crime final rate?

“A clearance rate is the lingo of law enforcement authorities how many crimes are actually solved,” said local political commentator Bill King, who is also a scholarship holder at the Baker Institute of Rice University.

After King went into deep immersion in the numbers, he found that Houston had a problem here when solving crimes.

“The numbers have been terrible for a long time,” said King to KTRH, “and so I pulled it for 2024 to see them, and the prices are still terrible.”

According to the data, the crime release for violent crimes here in Houston is only 26%, with only 19%robbery. That has to change and starts with local managers.

“We must have people who are responsible for the administration and monitoring of police stations, such as the police chiefs, mayors, the city council,” König noticed.

We also contacted the Texas DPS, but they did not respond to our request.
