In a game of the Northeasters Conference, Colin Driscoll scored five goals and support to lead Masconomet to a 22: 5 victory over Gloucester. … Chase Russo's two goals and an assisted swampscott in a 5: 3 victory against Danvers.

Luke Faletra scored eight goals and chase akstin two goals with five templates to make the central Catholic past Chelmsford (17: 8) in the Merrimack Valley Conference Action.

Girl lacrosse

In a Matchup of the Northeasters Conference, Maddie Forbes ended with six points (five goals, an assist), while Ramona Gillett and Kathryn Commos added both four points (three goals, one assist) to lead Marlehead to a 16-2 victory over Salem. … Ashley Wallace had five goals and two templates when Beverly rolled into a 20-2 win against Saucus. … Avery Laundry scored six goals and five others scored twice at Swampscott (8: 2) in an 18: 2 victory against Danvers.

In the Bay State League campaign, Bella Duffy scored seven goals and added three templates, while Ella Macdonald added four goals and an assist to the increase in Braintre in Past Framingham with 16: 6.

In a Commonwealth Athletic Conference competition, Emma Finch (five goals, two templates) and Addison Carbone (three goals, two templates), Greater Lowell rose to a 15: 6 victory over Nashoba Tech.

In a cape and Islands competition, Julia Kipperman and Zoe Labdon both ended with four goals, while Norah Swanson scored 20 parades when Nauset anchored Barnstable, 11-10.

The senior captain Kiera Fitzpatrick with five goals and two templates broke out the school record of 215 career goals and currently holds it with 219, while the senior captain Elizabeth Descheneaux added five goals and an assist as an assist as Methuen (9-3). … Catherine Craig, Caroline Pitts, Julianna Lanzillo and Jill Martin scored all two points when Chelmsford (7-3) anchored Central Catholic 9-7.

In the non-league game, Sophomore Molly Campbell collected five tallies when Cohasset grabbed the Notre Dame Academy from Hingham's 58-game-in-state-like stripes 11-10.

With five goals and four templates, Izzy Kittredge scored her 200th career for Medfield in a 20:5 win from Tri-Valley League against Norton. Maeve Kelly had four goals and two templates, and Kendall Herrick scored a hat trick with two templates.

Evie Bernard scored two goals with nine goals, Maisie Leland and Jane Boardman, and Hamilton-Wenham found just enough offensive to keep the Cape Ann League for Lynnfield with 15-12.

BASEBALL

Travers Moodie took the distance and scored seven for his third win of the season when Medford Somerville defeated 6-1 in the Greater Boston League.

Cole Pellegrino scattered five goals in 6 ⅔ Innings for his third win when Shawsheen (11: 0) defeated Lowell Catholic at the Commonwealth Athletic Conference 4: 1.

In the Cape Ann League, Walter Radulski recorded a few singles, two RBI and earned the hill to raise Lynnfield to Ipswich, 6: 4.

Will Novak ended the 3-against-4 driver with a three-way driver triple-to-power Ply Plymouth North (9: 1) for a 10: 5 victory over Quincy in the Patriot League.

Softball

In a non-league game, Molly Burns (two goals, two RBI), Chloe Seto (two hits, an RBI) and Bella Burns (RBI) made the offensive behind a no-hitter by Kathryn Sliski, when Wakefield Billerica was 5-0. … Lindsay fan nine in a complete game and supported a solo home from Zoey Moscato and two hit games from three batteries to raise Chelmsford via Lexington, 8-6.

In the Commonwealth Athletic Conference, Paige King's first Grand Slam brought her way to a 15:3 win against Nashoba Tech.

In a game in South Shore League, Elsie Testa 12 hit and added an RBI when Abatington (8-2) East Bridgewater defeated 6: 4.

Young basketball

St. Mary's (Lynn) named Josh Keilty as his new basketball coach from Varsity Boys. Keilty comes from Georgetown to St. Mary's, where he led the Royals to the 4 State Championship division last winter. In his eight years in Georgetown, he put together a record of 100-61 (.621) and recorded his 100th career victory in the state finals.

“We are very pleased that Josh leads our young basketball program and joined the St. Mary family,” said sports director Jeff Newhall. “He is a proven goods that has established itself as one of the best coaches in the state. We are confident that the success at St. Mary's will continue.”

The Georgetown teams from Keilty qualified for the Miaa tournament six years in a row (there was no tournament in 2021 due to pandemic) and on average more than 16 wins in the last four seasons, which culminated in the state championship this year.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to give me Georgetown and I will always appreciate the experience I have there,” said Keilty in a school air. “There were many people who have contributed to doing this work. For me, the relationships that build them are the best thing about coaching. I feel happy to have trained so many highly motivated players who have helped us achieve the success we had.”
