Dozens killed while Israel Gaza strikes increased – DW – 15.05.2025

Several Israeli and shelling killed dozens over the Gaza Strip overnight until Thursday.

The civil protection authority of Gaza, Palestinian doctor and the Wafa news agency, reported on different deaths of between 40 and 60 people.

According to a spokesman for the civil agency in the Gaza, after a strike in Khan Younis, a city in southern Gaza, in Khan Younis, on which the latest strikes concentrated, at least 13 people were “recovered”.

It was the second day of the strong bomb attack in the Gaza Strip. The Associated Press reported air strikes across Gaza on Wednesday and killed at least 60 people, including 22 children.

The Israeli military had no direct statement on the strikes.

No ceasefire renewal in sight

The expanded strikes come when the Israeli government approved plans to expand their military operation in Gaza.

The Israeli offensive in the enclave meant that more than 90% of the Gaza population were sold, some more than once.

The Hamas and other militants kidnapped more than 250 people to South Israel during the terrorist attack in October, 58 of whom were still held in the Gaza. The Israeli army believes that 23 of them are still alive.
