The 6 officers were condemned by the OSP for salary billing fraud

A top court in Tamale condemned six people for their role in a salary billing fraud as part of the educational service in Ghana, which included ghost names and fraudulent salary payments.

According to a statement by the office of the special prosecutor, the convictions resulted from culprits that were registered as part of the framework of the OSP plea.

As part of the agreement, the convict made the state full reimbursement and reparation.

In the explanation issued on May 15, 2025 on the official Facebook page of the OSP, announced that the people of school administrators, salary account officers and accountants who left the salary of a teacher who left his post were to be activated to confirm and reactivate the salary.

Her actions led to the illegal payment of more than GH ¢ 86,000, all of which have now been reclaimed.

In total, GH ¢ 106,319.64 was called up by the OSP.

The OSP also confirmed that several other people are examined in the public sector as part of a broader examination in systemic salary billing fraud.

Abdulai Abubakari Sadic – Ippd -Coordinator, Ges, Yendi;

Mohammed Yusif Jay – Headmaster, Balogu M/A Junior High School, Yendi;

Stafford Korledey Azudey-Barrres assistant Chief Accounts Technician, Cagd, Accra; And

Osman Issahaku – Headmaster, Balogu M/A Junior High School, Yendi;

The OPP confirmed its commitment to protect public resources and to strengthen its efforts to pursue corrupt practices within state institutions.
