Uconn Star ends up eye openings 2025 NBA design forecast for the NBA final candidate

The Uconn Huskies probably only have one player who will be selected in the NBA design next month: Liam McNeeley.

McNeeley only spent one season in Connecticut before he declared the draft, an average of 14.5 points, six rebounds and 2.3 assists over 32.1 minutes per game at 38.1/31.7/86.6 shooting.

The 6-foot 7 striker is considered the election of the edge, and Gary Parrish from CBS Sports has McNeeley to an NBA championship candidate: The Oklahoma City Thunder, who has the 15th overall selection via Miami Heat.

“The thunder has a invited squad and several picks in the first round, which makes you a good candidate for the packaging of assets to possibly climb in the draft. As always we see. But when you sit on No. 15, McNeeley is a nice option,” wrote Parrish. “He only shot 31.7% from the 3-point range in his one year at Uconn-Aber Scouts and still consider him a strongly scaly wing at the next level. Ankle-arisen has cost him more than a month of his season, but McNeeley was enough to convince the applicants he deserves.

McNeeley's shooting numbers are obviously a bit worrying, but it is important to remember that he is only 19 years old and his smooth blow speaks for himself. He may actually have major problems defensive, but at least he has versed something at this end of the floor.

The way for the season in Oklahoma City would be difficult, but maybe McNeeley would be able to play an early role as a shooter from the bank.

One thing is certain: McNeeley would be thrown into the fire immediately, since the thunder will be set up in the long term of one of the best team in basketball.
