Rochester Intersection Crash sends the 87-year-old to the hospital

Rochester, MN (Kroc-am news)- After a crash, a man was injured at a crossing in Rochester, on which accidents were often found.

The Minnesota Ministry of Transport says that the intersection has a “persistent story of accidents”. The crash on Wednesday came less than a week after an injury accident with three vehicles at the same intersection.

A project for building a roundabout at the intersection is scheduled to begin at the beginning of next month.

Two vehicles were involved in the latest collision. The injured driver had a passenger with him.

The state patrol reacted to the accident with two vehicles shortly after 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon.

An SUV and a pick-up truck collided at the intersection of Hwy. 63 and 18th Ave. Northwest/Olmsted County Rd. 12.

The 87-year-old Anthony Victor Steinman was identified as a SUV driver. The state patrol says that the Rochester man was brought to St. Mary's Hospital with non -life -threatening injuries.

The 85-year-old Florence Christina Steinman from Rochester drove in the SUV. She escaped the crash unharmed.

The state patrol identified the pick-up driver as a 19-year-old Miknana Madison Kranz from Rochester. It was also unharmed in the crash.

According to the state crash report, all three wore their seat belts and alcohol was not involved in the crash.

The Sheriff's office of Olmsted County and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also reacted to the crash.
