Ford is reminiscent of 270,000 SUVs for brake fluid leaks

Ford is reminiscent of almost 274,000 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator Sport Utility vehicles due to brake lines that, if the liquid is damaged, hinder the front brake function and may lead to accidents.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), “the front brake lines to the air purification pipe in engine air can be contacted and damaged, which may lead to a brake fluid leak.”

Such a leak can cause longer than expected brake pedal tours and lead to a reduction in the delay rate, “says the agency.

The signs of a possible leak include an increase in the brake pedal path and a red braking warning indicator light that the brake fluid is low.

This recall applies to SUVs from model years 2022-2024. According to NHTSA, letters that notify the owners of the affected vehicles are to be sent from May 26th to 30th, 2025. For more information, you can contact Ford customer service under 866-436-7332. Fords number for this recall is 25S47.

“Dealers can inspect the front brake boundary and replace the brake line or the air purifier outlet tube free of charge if necessary,” says the NHTSA.

For more information, you can also call the NHTSA vehicle security hotline under 888-327-4236 (TTY 888-275-9171) or go to NHTSA.Gov.
