what is Secrets that we keep around?

The crime drama revolves around the case of Ruby (Donna Levkovski), a young Philippine au couple who disappears from a wealthy neighborhood in Denmark. A neighbor, Cecilie (Marie Bach Hansen), is convinced that something scary, and circulating as rumors and growing the suspicion of crime, Cecilie's au pair, Angel (Excel Busano), begins to investigate.

However, the case of a missing foreigner has a low priority for the police, and the new investigator Aicha (Sara Fanta Traore) needs the entire help that she can get. Fortunately, Cecilie and Angel are available to help, and gradually the power structures and privileges are exposed in the beautiful houses of this wealthy quarter.

Then Cecilie's commitment to uncovering the truth is put to the test when Ruby's disappearance reveals connections to Cecilie's own family.
