Bear Lake Rangers urge caution after rare black bear was killed with the vehicle

The rangers of Bear Lake State Park are reminiscent of being careful when a rare black bear was hit and killed by a vehicle.

Rangers said that the bear was hit on the east of the lake near Cisco Bench on the Utah page.

They described the incident as “particularly tragic”, since black bears were once native to the valley, but were almost wiped out due to overdated and loss of the habitat in the 19th and 1900s.

“A return to the area is a rare and strong memory of the wild beauty that once thrown here,” said Rangers in an explanation.

Parking officers asked the visitors to remember that the country houses many wild species that move freely through the area and do not follow the zebra crossing.

When the summer season approached, the Rangers emphasized that “it is critical that we are particularly caution, especially at dawn and at dusk.”

The visitors were asked to stay vigilant, to observe the street, to drive slowly and to respect the wildlife with which the country is shared.
