Helen J. Shen plays “The Impossible Dream” at Miscast25

The MCC Theater has published a video by Helen J. Shen, which “The Impossible Dream” by Man of la Mancha performed at Miscast 2025. The event, one of the most expected theater every year, took place last month. The biggest stars of the stage and canvas entered the stage in the Hammerstein Ballroom to perform songs from roles in which they would traditionally not be occupied.

MISCAST25 So featured performance by Cole Escola (“Iowa Stubborn”), Raúl Esparza (“Defying Gravity”), Ana Gasteyer (“A Sentimental Man”), Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard (“The Confrontation”), Nick Jonas (“Still Hurting”), Kecia Lewis (Hamilton Medley), Adam Pascal (“Memory”), Steven Pasquale and Phillipa Soo (“Not a day passes/without you”), Nicole Scherzinger (“I am”), Aaron Tveit (“I know him so well”), Jordan Tyson (“Foreign like I”) and Jordan Fisher, Brittton Smith and Ephraim Sykes (“Dreamgirs”).

Helen J Shen can currently be seen as a claire in a happy ending, where she celebrated her Broadway debut. She was also seen in the musical of the MCC Theater The Lonely Feel by Zoe Sarnak and Rachel Bonds under the direction of Trip Cullman and Ellenore Scott. She fascinated the audience in Anna K.
