1 dead, 4 injured after a crash on the I-94 ramping ramp near Wayne

Wayne, me. (Wxyz)-a man is dead and four people were admitted to the hospital after a crash of an I-94 exit ramp, the state police said.

The crash occurred on Tuesday evening around 6:30 p.m. on the I-94 near Wayne.

The authorities say that the driver of a pickup drove west when he lost control of his vehicle on the exit, traveled across all lanes and met another pick-up truck.

Both vehicles rolled through the crash.

The driver of the truck, who started the crash, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected and died in the crash. He was not identified by the police due to his injuries suffered.

“A seat belt not only keeps you behind the steering wheel, but also holds it in the vehicle,” said F/LT Mike Shaw on X.

The four trucks hit that were hit – two adults and two children from Ann Arbor – were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

MSP says that nine people have died on Michigan's streets since last week and 260 people died this year. The police also say that 1,186 were seriously injured on the streets of Michigan this year, including 93 since last week. At that time last year, MSP 13 gave fewer deaths and 12 less serious injuries.
