Three killed on Georgia Interstate at fiery truck car heaps

Calhoun, Ga. (AP)-Dre People were killed and two more in a fiery wreck in which several vehicles and half-heavy were involved in the interstate, the Atlanta connected to Chattanooga, Tennessee, the authorities said. The crash closed all lanes towards the south on Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred on Interstate 75 near Calhoun, Georgia, said the Gordon County's sheriff.

A semi-trailer drove north on the highway by car, and the truck then crossed the median to the lanes led south, said Georgia State Patrol. This led to collisions with two other half -signs, a car and a pickup, said the agency. The pickup caught fire.

A total of six vehicles were involved and three people killed, said the state patrol. The two injured people were brought to hospitals. Their conditions were not published immediately.

Video of local news agencies showed one of the semis crumpled in a ditch and another partly from the highway.

The names of the killed and injured were not released.

The crash occurred two days after two people were killed on the I-75 near Chattanooga on Sunday, about 72 kilometers north of the wreck on Tuesday.
