Mayank Yadav has excluded IPL 2025 with another back injury

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Fast Bowler Mayank Yadav has suffered another back injury and has come out of the last leg of IPL 2025. LSG has risen in New Zealand Quick, O'Rourke at INR 3 Crore in its place.

Mayank was one of the three players who kept LSG in front of the Mega auction. Mayank returned to the competitive cricket for the first time since October 2024 and only played two games in IPL 2025 – against Mumbai -Indian and Punjab Kings (PBKS) – before the tournament was exposed to cross -border tension between India and Pakistan. His high pace – a quality that impressed the selectors – and the accuracy brought him a special almost Bowler -Central Treaty last year.

Soon he found out a back injury that missed the domestic season 2024-25 after his international debut. He recovered in the BCCI excellence center (formerly National Cricket Academy) in Bengaluru. But his return was pushed back after he joined his toe against his bed, which led to an infection. After his return, he was a much slower bowl who injured speeds at the high 130 km / h and occasionally against the 140 km / h mark.

After Mayank's first match on the return, the LSG mentor Zaheer Khan said that they were in the “constant dialogue with the NCA” and followed the regime given to him.

The IPL stint with LSG will be O'Rourke's first experience in the T20 franchise circuit. After his debut against Pakistan last year, he has five gates in five T20is for New Zealand. In total, he is cut ten times in tests and 17 times in Odis apart from his five T20I appearances.

Jamieson replaces Ferguson at PBKS

The New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson replaced the compatriot Lockie Ferguson for the rest of IPL 2025 at PBKS. Ferguson played four games for PBKs this season and collected five gates. He hobbled after he had hit two balls in the game against Sunriser's Hyderabad in April, with PBK's faster coach James Hopes said that Ferguson was “unlimited”.

PBKs will be Jamieson's second IPL team after playing for RCB in 2021. He was part of Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2025, but played in just two of her nine games. Jamieson joined PBKs for INR 2 Crore.

As reported by ESPNcricinfo, Gujarat Titans (GT) signed Kusal Mendis as a replacement for Jos Buttler, who will leave to England at the end of the League stage. Mendis has joined GT for INR 75 LAKH and will be entitled to play the playoffs.
