Apple emphasizes a magnifying glass on Mac and iPhone music haptics in new videos

Apple shared new videos today that highlight the upcoming accessibility that the company wants to introduce with iOS 19 and MacOS 16. Apple made a number of new accessibility options this week that will come later this year to honor the day of global accessibility.

The first video that was uploaded to the main -Youtube channel from Apple shows the magnifying glass on Mac function. We saw this video on Tuesday in Apple's Newsroom Post, but it is now easier to see on YouTube. On site, a woman uses an iPhone that is connected to her Mac in a classroom to enlarge the board so that she can see the professor's notes and diagrams better.

The enlargement on the MAC uses the zoom function of the ‌Iphone‌ camera, which shines the feed via the Continuity camera to a Mac. There are options for creating several live session windows for the pursuit of a presentation and at the same time in a textbook, and each view can be adapted with different brightness levels as well as color and contrast filters in order to meet the individual requirements. The enlargement on the MAC is an expansion of the existing magnification option on the ‌iphone‌ with which the ‌iphone‌ can be used to enlarge text and identify objects.

Apple's second video was shared on the Apple Music YouTube channel and focuses on music haptics on ‌iphone‌. Music Haptics is introduced as part of iOS 18 and offers the audio of played musical taps, so that users who are deaf or hard of hearing can experience songs.

In ‌ios 19‌ Apple plans to expand music haptics and add new adjustment options. Users can experience feels for a whole song or only for singing, and there will be settings to adapt the intensity of taps, textures and vibrations.
