Indy Mother is charged after the baby's death, increases the growing neglect cases

Indianapolis and death of a 4-month-old girl has contributed to a growing list of neglect cases of children in Marion County.

The Indianapolis mother Kristina Gensheimer was charged with neglecting dependency after her daughter Emma Gensheimer died in her care.

After an affidavit of the likelihood, an official of the Metropolitan Police Department of Indianapolis reacted to a call in the 618 Congress Ave via Emma, ​​which was no longer reacted to the ground on the morning.

A caller had started CPR before the official arrived. Emma was taken to the Riley Hospital, but shortly afterwards declared dead.

The IMPD's abuse of child abuse was called to examine the circumstances in connection with their death.

During the examination, the affidavit revealed that Emma said mother Kristina that she woke up so as not to react to Emma after they had both fallen out of bed.

Kristina, who reported reports, admitted to using Gamma-Hydroxybutyrat (GHB) before going to bed.

In addition, officials found objects associated with drug use in the household, including a syringe for GHB. Kristina also had several crime commands at the time. A blood test showed that GHB and other substances were in their system.

On September 17, 2024, an autopsy found that Emma's death was classified as a suddenly unknown death of a child.

The affidavit showed that other factors may have contributed to their death, including working with their mother and a possible cytomegalovirus infection that affects their lungs.
