Starbucks are now firm black shirts and khaki, black or blue denim sub -parts, which has been inflamed by a previously wider and more flexible clothing directive. The company says that this change improves brand consistency and emphasizes its characteristic green apron. Starbucks Workers United, however, argues that the change should be negotiated by collective bargaining and accuses the company to ignore baristas. Some employees, such as the Svervisor Supervisor Paige Summers, describe the guidelines as restrictive and are not touched with the actual shop needs. A particularly painful point: the company is reportedly selling branded clothing to employees on its internal website.
