On the evening of May 13th, an investigative judge at the Marrakech Court of Appeal ordered the detention of a university professor after allegations of participation in a university degree.

According to the local newspaper Kech 24, the decision was made after several months of in -depth investigation, which was led by the national brigade of the judicial police in Marrakech. The investigation revealed the suspicion of completion and approvals to Master programs in exchange for bribes and financial payments.

The investigative judge also ordered the pursuit of the professor's wife, a practicing lawyer, as part of the same case. In addition, the head of the court register at Safi Primary Court, together with his son, a lawyer for trainees and several other lawyers from the judicial officer, was accused, but released under judicial supervision.

It is said that these people received a university degree without sitting for the necessary exams, including the authorization test for practicing law by paying considerable sums of money.
