Apple Leak points out that Airpods Pro 3 will come soon

Rumors have long pointed out that new AirPods Pro were in the works, with a autumn start. But now a leak of Apple's own software has brought the first official indication that Airpods Pro 3 will come soon.

Code signing shows the upcoming start of Airpods Pro 3

Aaron Perris shared a code series in a post on X, which he discovered in “Apple's recently published software version”.

The code string refers to the arrival of Airpods Pro 3, which are not too far away.

As could be seen in Perris' screenshot below, he noticed a key change.

If the code was once referred to a task at which “Airpods per 2nd generation” was necessary, the same task now has a new description in the latest software version.

Now it is said that “Airpods per 2 or later” are required.

In other words, something in Apple's code for which Airpods Pro 2 is currently required also works with Airpods Pro 3, and Apple prepares its software for this change.

Does this code string mean that an Airpods per 3 start is imminent? Not necessarily.

A surprising publication at WWDC is always possible and cannot be excluded.

But probably Apple, Airpods Pro 3 in September in addition to the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and more on the market.

Former Airpods Pro models both made their debut in autumn, and Apple usually published all new AirPods products next to the iPhone.

When Airpods Pro 3 arrives, we expect a new H3 chip, improve active noise suppression and other new functions.
