The police examine the second death in three weeks in three weeks in Kent Corrections Facility

The Kent police investigated the death of a 36-year-old man who had a medical emergency in the city of Kent Corrections in custody, days after his arrest for arrest warrant for corrections and local fees.

This is the second in-customer death in the Kent Corrections facility in the past few weeks. A separate Incident on April 22nd led to the death of a female inmate that no longer reacted in a posture cell.

The police said that the patrol police officers reacted to a domestic dispute on Sunday, May 11, 2025 and were informed that one of the people involved had fled on foot. The officials found the man nearby and arrested him with an arrest warrant without a rakat to escape the community together with a local indictment.

During the arrest, the officials reported that the man tried to swallow several baggies from powder drugs. The officials intervened to prevent him from taking the substances and then transported him to the Valley Medical Center. It was medically clarified and brought into the establishment of Kent Corrections to book.

Two days later, on Tuesday, May 13th, at around 10:41 p.m., a police officer alerted a police officer that the inmate had a medical emergency. Doctors reacted and carried out HLW and other life -saving efforts before transporting the man to a local hospital, where he was taken up for intensive care. He died on May 15th when he was treated.

Kent Police Detectives carry out a complete examination of the events that lead to medical emergencies, including reviewing video film materials and survey of employees and occupants.

The King County's medical examiner will determine the official cause of death and the identity of the victim.
