Melbourne's police said a Stephan Dieujuste (24) claimed self -defense when he killed a Nate of Jennings (19) in a confrontation near a parking space.

News 6 does not show the part of the video that shows the shoot itself.

“This was a random act, as tragic as it was, and it could have happened at any time in any part of this city,” said bar owner Randy Bennett this week at a city council meeting.

Bennett has the bar closest to the parking lot on which the shootout took place.

A few years ago, he also addressed council members in the town hall after another late night weekend in the city center.

According to his arrest report, Dieujuste was apologized to the officials for shooting Jennings.

It was: “I'm sorry. I had to do it. He ran to me.”

In the early Thursday morning, records show that theuae recorded its bond of $ 100,000 for manslaughter and left prison.
