Michigan seems to stay hot when it competes in the first round of Austin Regional on Friday in College Softball against UCF.

The Michigan Wolverines will compete against UCF Knights in the first round of Austin Regional in the first round of Austin. The Wolverines come in the regional fresh from their second tournament tournament in a row. The Wolverines entered the tournament as an eighth seed, but annoyed the UCLA with the second seed in the quarter -finals and in the championship game. The Wolverines had lost all six games against the two schools on the west coast, but found some magic in the tournament to throw them off. The knights hope that they can steal part of this magic from the Wolverines and progress with a win in the region.

The knights come to the regonals to hone back from defeat to No. 10 in the Big 12 tournament. They led the wildcats 3-0 in the quarter -finals, but gave a run in the fourth and three more in the fifth to achieve the loss.

The Knights are now sitting at 33-22-1 in the season, but they have won seven of their last nine games.

The Wolverines are a family face for the Knights because the two teams played in the region in 2022. The knights would win both games to get to the super regional.
