Celtics back in New York for game 6 days after Tatum's injury and try to tie the series against Knicks

New York – A championship window seemed to be closed when the Boston Celtics left Madison Square Garden at the beginning of this week.

Jayson Tatum had just been worn by a injury to the season before the Celtics were pushed to the edge of the elimination. The players were decidedly below.

The defending NBA champions are certainly not out.

On Friday evening, they return to New York for game 6 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals and believe that they can expand the series and 25-year-old waiting of the Knicks to get back to the conference final.

“It is a profit or home at that moment, so none of us want to go home and we understand that it only gets harder,” said Celtics Guard Derrick White. “We haven't done anything yet. I just have one way to go to New York and win a game.”

Only 13 teams have overcome a 3-1 deficit to win a series. The Celtics try without their leading goal scorer, who broke his right Achilles tendon late in the 121-113 victory of Knicks in game 4.

“I know it is easy to write down things. Obviously unhappy what happened to JT. But we still played basketball,” said Celtics star Jaylen Brown. “I believe in this group, so they don't count us yet.”

The Celtics achieved a win of 127-102 on Wednesday and listed at least 14 points in the second half of all five games. The Knicks gathered by three of them, but they know that they can not bring the team into a hole.

“We have to be better,” said Knick's all-star Jalen Brunson. “Flather out.”

A victory would send the Knicks to the conference finale for the first time since the loss of the Indiana Pacers in 2000. The Pacers would be the opponent again after Cleveland was equipped in a series that was supposed to start in New York on Wednesday.

If the Celtics won, game 7 would be in Boston on Monday, with the winner only getting a day off before organizing the Pacers.

White scored 5 34 points in game and is 13 from a 3-point range in the last two games. Brown has 26 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds and scored at least 19 points in all five games, a memory that the Celtics go far beyond Tatum.

“They defend champions,” said Knicks Center Karl-Anthony Towns. “Obviously it is a big blow to your team to lose tattum, but we know that you are more able to beat someone every night than every night.”

They failed in their only chance this year when they lost in game 5 of their first round against Detroit. When the center of Kristaps Porzingis fights for it, on which he delivered the type of thrust that the kinks of cities need, her all-star, who fought against foul pools and only made two 3 hands in the series.
