Half of the lower peninsula under Tornado watch

West Michigan – potentially dangerous weather affects West Michigan. A cold front that moves over the large lakes triggers a number of heavy storms.

Fox 17 gave a Weather tale arm for the system.

The National Weather Service set a tornado clock for each county in the lower peninsula from the I-94 and north and west of I-127. The clock is in force until 3 a.m. on Friday morning.

If you are on the way to this storm, you will be encouraged to search for protection in your basement or interior without a window.

The storms are expected to bring strong winds, the size of golf balls and potential tornados on Thursday. The Storm Prediction Center brought most of West Michigan to an increased risk of storms, the third highest level of potential.
